Civic and Voters Education Program -2005 (COMPLETED)

Summary of Major activities implemented:

Civic and Voters Education for the Community Civic and Voters Education Volunteers (25 per Ward)
Civic and Voters Education Community Forums
Civic and Voters Education Community Event including football/netball competitions
Civic and Voters Education Open-air outreach training
Community forums are conducted to complement structured training sessions
During the forums, civic and voters education materials are openly displayed and content discussed
To make the forums interesting traditional dances/ngoma are conducted with the songs conveying the main themes of the project
The forums are conducted during market days, football matches and in other people’s meeting places
The forums are reaching an average of 200-300 audiences and we believe that at least two third of them stay from the start to the end of the forum, ie. Getting the whole package of Civil and Voters educational messeages.
